Here's our new iOS app, with events, food, hotels, update phrasebooks and art

We’re really excited to tell you about the latest update of our iOS apps. It's jam-packed with new features so you should really check it out yourselves - here are five things we love about the new app.

When you stumble upon a - that's why we have added an evens section in each guide. We hope it will help you explore with the eyes of a local and venture off the beaten path and beyond the usual tourist attractions.

With Triposo’s new local food feature, you can learn all about the region-specific delicacies in each place you visit. Whether you’re an intrepid foodie looking to get your first taste of balut or a family of ice cream lovers trying to track down the best gelato in Rome, Triposo’s index of cuisines and crowd-sourced recommendations will help you get a real, authentic taste of each place you venture to.

We've had a hotels section in our app for a while, but in the new update we've tried to make it a lot easier for you to use it to book your trip. Now you can see immediately which of the hotels have availability for you and of course you book the hotel right from the app.

Updated Phrasebooks

We've worked hard to make the phrasebooks easier to user. The result is a section with useful phrases separated into logical groups like problems, time, common road signs, money and more. With each phrase we have an approximate pronunciation so you can say We believe the new phrasebooks will make it easier than ever before to communicate with people and explore outside the confines of the usual tourist experience.

Finally, one of our favorite updates is a that city guides now have an overview of the major works or art We think it’s an art-lover’s dream come true, and might even inspire casual fans to go have a peek at that Picasso that’s hiding out in a private gallery...

Jamboree pictures!!

Rip, skip, roar! We are in Pozo on Gran Canaria for a Jamboree.

The Triposo Team looking for sharks & orca's

We're of course not just here to look for sharks. We came to do what we always do during our Jamborees.
  • We will celebrate. We have just wrapped up the Balut release (more about that later) and we think it's the best Triposo release ever.
  • We will test our guides in the wild. We believe there is no better way to know how we can improve. So we've got an explorers night planned where the team will go out on a hunt for travel inspiration armed with nothing but our app and a credit card.
  • We will have a hackathon. It's just great to take one day and code code code and build some quirky, funny and amazing feature.
  • We will brainstorm about the next release, which will be called Chutney, which will be better than Balut!
  • Finally, since Pozo is really a surfing town with not much else going on than the surfing... yes we will go surfing as well. We'll post some pictures so you can all have a laugh.
